Storm Debris Cleanup in Homosassa

A winter storm rolled through Homosassa and left a mess behind. Big oak branches down across the backyard, palm fronds everywhere, and a pine tree had split and dropped half its canopy onto the fence line. Homeowner was retired and couldn’t tackle it alone.
We got out there the next day. Started by cutting the larger branches into manageable pieces with a chainsaw, then worked our way through the yard picking up smaller debris. The palm fronds and oak limbs alone filled the truck bed once — those things take up more space than you’d think.
Made two trips total. First load was all the heavy oak and pine. Second was the palm fronds, smaller branches, and a pile of Spanish moss that had come down with everything else. Dropped it all at the yard waste facility off Cardinal Street.
By the afternoon the yard looked better than it did before the storm, honestly. We even pulled a few dead branches that were still hanging but would’ve come down in the next big wind. The storm had also knocked a section of the screen enclosure loose and scattered some old patio furniture and broken planters around the lanai, so we grabbed those too.
